Small tools you buy once.
Single-purpose utilities for people who write. Pay once and keep it — there is no subscription, no account, and nothing to cancel. Your documents are deleted within an hour and are never read.
The tools
This list is the whole product — when there are more, they will be here.
Markdown to PDF
Paste your Markdown, check the preview, download the PDF. Your document is processed temporarily and deleted within an hour — it is never read, indexed or used to train anything.
Open the tool →ChatGPT to PDF
Paste the conversation. The prompts and the “ChatGPT said” scaffolding come out, and what is left is laid out as a report — not a chat log with better fonts. Your document is deleted within an hour and is never read, indexed or used to train anything.
Open the tool →Claude to PDF
Claude tends to answer at length and in structure — which is most of a document already, wrapped in a conversation that is not. Paste the whole thing: the prompts and turn labels come out, the headings and tables stay. Your document is deleted within an hour and is never read, indexed or used to train anything.
Open the tool →Gemini to PDF
Gemini writes its section headings in bold rather than as headings, so a long answer turns into one undifferentiated block the moment it leaves the chat window. Paste it here and those lines become real headings again, set on a real page. Deleted within an hour, and never read by us.
Open the tool →CV to PDF
Write it in plain text — or paste the conversation you drafted it in — and pick a style. What comes out is real text on a page, not a picture of a CV, which is what lets an applicant tracking system read it. Deleted within an hour, and never read by us.
Open the tool →Others are planned — HTML to PDF, and doors for the other assistants — and none of them exists yet, so none of them is linked. When one does, it will work the same way: free with a watermark, $7 to remove it. One purchase covers all of them, including the ones that do not exist yet.
How buying works
-
01
Free is the whole tool
Every feature of the renderer, with a watermark across each page and lower limits. Nothing is held back to make the paid version look better.
-
02
$7, once
It removes the watermark permanently and raises the limits. There is no renewal and no expiry.
-
03
Your email is the account
There is no password and no licence key. Access is tied to the address you pay with, and a signed link restores it in any browser.
-
04
Refunds take a sentence
Within 30 days, no reason needed. There is a form on the site, and it is linked from the footer of every page.
What happens to your document
It is uploaded, rendered, and deleted within an hour by a scheduled job. Nobody reads it, it is not indexed, and it is never used to train anything. The renderer makes no outbound requests at all, so nothing in your document causes us to contact another server on your behalf.
There is no third-party script on this site except analytics, which loads only if you accept it — and which never receives anything about your document, not its contents, not its title, not its filename.
Questions
What is OwnYourTool?
- A small collection of paid single-purpose web tools. Each does one job, costs one payment, and keeps working without a subscription. It is run by one person.
Why buy once instead of subscribing?
- Because these are utilities, not services. A monthly fee for a converter would cost you more than it is worth, and it would give us a reason to keep adding features you never asked for so the renewal feels justified.
Why is there no account?
- Because an account is a database of people, and the less of that there is, the less there is to lose. Access is tied to the email address you pay with, and a link sent to that address restores it anywhere.
What do you store?
- Your email address and the fact that you bought something. Documents are deleted within an hour, and their contents never reach a log, an analytics event, or a backup.
Which tools exist today?
- The ones listed above, and nothing else. That list is built from what is actually deployed, so this page cannot promise a tool that does not exist yet.
Who is behind it?
- One developer, reachable by replying to any email the site sends you. Support is a person, not a queue.
Every tool here turns something into a typeset PDF, in about a second. Markdown is where most people start.
