Refunds
Last updated 19 August 2026
Thirty days, one reply, no reason required. This page exists so you can check that before you pay, not after.
The policy
If it is not what you expected, reply to your receipt within 30 days and we refund the $7. No form to fill in, and you do not have to give a reason.
Or write to support@ownyourtool.com from the address you bought with, or simply reply to your receipt. All three reach a person — use whichever is quickest for you.
Why it is this simple
It is $7. Arguing about it would cost us both more than the money, and a policy with conditions attached is a policy you have to read carefully before trusting — which is a strange thing to ask of someone deciding whether to spend $7 with a brand they have not heard of.
The free version also does everything the paid one does apart from the watermark, so you can see exactly what you are buying before you buy it. That is deliberate, and it is why we can afford to keep this page short.
What happens when you ask
- We refund through Dodo Payments, who took the payment as merchant of record. They return it to the card or method you used — we cannot send it anywhere else.
- How long it takes to appear is your bank’s decision, not ours. Usually a few days, occasionally longer.
- Your access ends when the refund goes through. The watermark comes back on new PDFs. Files you already downloaded are yours and are unaffected — we could not take them back even if we wanted to.
- You can buy again later. Nothing is blacklisted.
After 30 days
Write anyway. The 30 days is a promise we are willing to be held to, not the limit of what we are willing to do. If the tool stopped working for you, or never worked properly, say so and we will deal with it.
If we refund you without being asked
Two cases where we will refund you on our own initiative, so you know we intend to:
- You paid and access was never granted because something on our side failed. That has happened, and we would rather return the money than have you chase it.
- We block your access for any reason other than abuse of the service.
Your legal rights
This policy is in addition to your rights under consumer law, not instead of them. Where the law where you live gives you a stronger right — a statutory cancellation period, for instance — that right applies and this page does not limit it.
Our own 30-day policy is deliberately longer than most statutory periods and applies to everyone, wherever you are. Whichever gives you more, you get.
Chargebacks
If you dispute the charge with your bank instead of writing to us, we will not fight it — but it will take longer than a reply to this email, and the bank may ask you for more than we would have. Asking us is faster for you.
