ChatGPT to PDF, as a document you can send.

How it works

  1. 01

    Paste the whole conversation

Copy the chat in the app, paste it here. The prompts and the chat scaffolding come out as it lands, and you are told how many were removed.

  2. 02

    Check what came through

A summary rather than a preview: the title, the first lines, and counts of what was found. A readable A4 page does not fit a phone, so this does not pretend to be one.

  3. 03

    Choose how it should look

The same templates, typefaces and colour sets as on a computer, in a panel that opens when you want it.

  4. 04

Open it, then it is gone

It opens in your usual PDF viewer — share or save it from there. The copy on the server is deleted within an hour.

What it handles

The conversation comes out

The turn markers, the Copy code buttons, the response pager and the “can make mistakes” line are stripped, and the prompts go with them. What is left is the answer, as continuous prose. This is the part the free converters do not do, and it is the reason this page exists.

Your code survives it

A fenced code block is left exactly as it was, including any line inside it that looks like chat scaffolding. Cleaning up someone’s code sample would be worse than leaving the conversation in.

Nothing is removed silently

You are told what came out and how many prompts went with it, and the cleaned text sits in the editor where you can change it. If you paste something that is not a conversation, nothing is touched at all.

Tables and long code across pages

Table header rows repeat when a table runs past a page break, and code is wrapped rather than clipped — the two things that most often turn an AI answer into an unusable PDF.

A running head and numbered pages

Every page carries a heading line, the date, and its number. It reads as something that came from an organisation rather than out of a chat window.

Images in the answer are not fetched

An image referenced by URL is skipped and the rest renders normally. The renderer makes no outbound requests at all — it never asks another server for anything on your behalf.

Questions

How do I get rid of “You said” and “ChatGPT said” in my PDF?

Paste the conversation here and they are already gone — that is what this page does. The turn markers, the prompts between them, the Copy code buttons and the “can make mistakes” line are all removed as the text lands, before you generate anything. Nothing else does this: the free converters reproduce the chat.

Can I export a whole conversation, not just one answer?

Yes — that is the normal case. Paste the entire exchange and every answer is kept, in order, with the questions between them removed. A long conversation usually becomes one document rather than a list of replies.

Does it keep my prompts?

No, and that is deliberate. A reader of the PDF wants the answer, not the request for it — a document that keeps asking itself questions is still a transcript. If you want a prompt kept, the cleaned text is in the editor and you can type it back in as a heading.

Does it work with Claude, or other assistants?

Claude conversations are handled the same way, along with transcripts that use plain Human and Assistant labels. Anything it does not recognise is left exactly as you pasted it, which is the safe direction to be wrong in.

What if I want the whole conversation, bubbles and all?

Then this is the wrong tool, and several free ones do it well. This one exists for the case where the answer has to be handed to somebody.

What happens to what I paste?

The cleanup happens in your browser — the text is not sent anywhere to be tidied. When you generate, it is written to a temporary file, rendered, and deleted within an hour by a scheduled job. Nobody reads it, nothing is indexed, and it is never used to train anything.

Do I need an account?

No — not for the free tool and not for Pro. Access is tied to the email address you pay with. If you change browser or clear your cookies, we email you a link that restores it. There is no password, and there is no licence key to lose.

What exactly does $7 remove?

The diagonal watermark, on every PDF you generate from then on — from this tool and from the Markdown one, because you bought it once. It also raises the limits to 2 MB and around 200 pages per document, and 30 documents an hour.

How long a conversation can I convert?

Free handles up to 500 KB of text, which is around 30 pages, and 5 documents an hour. Pro raises that to 2 MB and around 200 pages. The counter above the editor shows how close you are.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 30 days, with no reason needed. There is a form on the site; if the browser is signed in to the purchase it is refunded on the spot, and otherwise a person completes it.

Analytics, and your choice about it

We would like to measure how this tool is used, so we can fix what confuses people. Your document is never part of that — what you type is masked and the preview is excluded from any recording. Nothing runs until you choose.
